Basil is a name I gifted myself, a symbol of love, protection, and good fortune. It felt right to choose something living, something that grows.
My practice is rooted in processes that evolve over time, using origami, hand-built forms, illustration, and craft to let ideas grow through touch and repetition. I am drawn to design methods that feel intimate and cultivated rather than immediate. My work often begins with a small seed of curiosity and expands through making. I am interested in how design systems can grow while remaining soft, how structure can support experimentation, and how visuals can develop emotional depth through iteration. I see design as a living language that adapts, responds, and continues to unfold.
At its core, my practice is about nurturing connection. I create work that does not just communicate, but feels, allowing stories to take root and linger like something carefully grown and meant to be kept.
